Increasing stitches

I’ve viewed the video on increasing and can do that, but please explain what my pattern is trying to say:

Next row: knit, inc 24sts across row to 76 sts (i’ve got 52 cast on)

I’m not sure if I knit, inc 1, knit 1, inc 1, etc

It depends which inc you want to use, kfb or m1, so you’ll either have 2 sts between the m1s or one st between the kfb. Here’s an increase calculator that gives some options for spacing.
