I’m knitting a child’s cardigan and I’m increasing the sleeves it says inc 1 stitch each end of the 3rd and every following 4th row, does this mean every 3rd and 4th or on the 3rd row then just every 4th row?
It means to increase on the third row and then every following 4th row until you get to the requitred number of sts. Do you have a link or the name of the pattern? It helps us to help you answer your questions.
Hi Trisha, it’s a Peter Pan Pattern, P1199 and there is 8 rows to the pattern I’ve increased 1 stitch each end of the 3rd row but now I
Stuck as it says inc 1 stitch each end of the 3rd row and every following 4th row does this mean the 4th row of the pattern or every 4 rows?
Hi Sue it means every 4th row not the 4th row of the pattern
Hi Trisha thanks for that, one more question after I’ve inc on the 3rd row do I count the next row as the first 4th row or do I count 4 more rows then inc.
You would increase on row 1, 5, 9 etc.
Hi Trisha, thanks so much for your help, one sleeve completed thanks to you.
You are very welcome
