I am making the Top Down Baby Bunting by Amanda Lilley. I am not sure if the way the increases are written are gonna make the raglan part look weird!! This is how it starts:

Using circular needle, CO 32 sts.
Row 1 (WS): P2, pm, p1, pm, p4, pm, p1, pm, p16, pm, p1, pm, p4, pm, p1, pm, p2.
Row 2 (RS): K1, M1R, [k to marker, M1L, sm, k1, sm, M1R] 4 times, k to last st, M1L, k1. = 42 sts
Row 3: Purl.
Row 4: Rep Row 2. = 52 sts

I assure you I am making the M1L and M1R the correct way. But it seems to me like they should all be exactly the opposite?

Please help!!

These are both pretty invisible increases but if you like the look by changing their places then go right ahead. You can work these whichever way you choose.
I usually substitute for these increases using knit right loop (KRL) or knit left loop (KLL). If I did that, I would reverse the increases too.

Great!! Thank you so much for your advice! I just had never seen the increases slanting towards the seam and was wondering if that would look ok or if it was just written wrong!
