I have read through the “increases” posts and none are specific to my question, so here goes - I am making a bag, I am increasing every other row, every other stitch to double my stitches, so that means I am increasing the last stitch. I usually do M1, but it doesn’t seem to work well on the end. I’m all confused about the slant and WHICH increase to use. This is straight knitting, I shouldn’t have to worry about a slant, right? UGH! Now that I got the cast on, I need Increase HELP! :hair:
With garter (straight K) you could do Kfb. This can be done in any st and shouldn’t create problems in first/last st.

I would say kfb in the last stitch too.
I agree, kfb would probably be the way to go.
kfb gets my vote too. it is my favourite increase and the one i use unless the pattern calls for somthing else.
