Increase sts to 32sts in the following way:
SL 1st purl-wise, lift the thread between the 1st and 2nd st with the left needle, twist the thread and K 1st into it. For the next 14sts K each st twice - first through the front loop and then while the st remains on the left needle through the back loop. Then lift the thread between the last 2sts with the left needle, twist the thread and K 1st into it. K the last st. Increasing this way will not interrupt the neat chain of stitches along the selvages. What I am not sure of is where it reads lift the thread between the 1st and 2nd st with left needle, twist the tread and Knit first stitch into it.
