I am struggling with a knitted ball ornament. This is also my first time using dpns so that’s fun 
The line I am having trouble with reads:
Knit 1, inc1L, knit to last stitch, inc1R, knit 1
inc1L and inc1R are throwing me off. I need visuals to learn new stitches and I can’t find anything that has that description. Is it the same as a M1R or L?

There are lots of different increases, but that is probably what they mean. Giving it a left and right will help with shaping. M1 right and left are on this page. I’m sure YouTube has videos as well.

Nice! Yes the link above that I posted will show you how to do the M1L and M1R.
BTW… if you haven’t gotten the ball for the inside they make Styrofoam balls that are smooth and easier to knit over.
