Hi, I am knitting a toy puppet and started doing k1p1 rib. It says to increase 1 stitch in the middle of the ladt rib row. How do I do that without spoiling the k1p1 pattern?
If this I a transition row between rib and stockinette or another stitch you won’t notice the extra stitch which knocks the rib out of pattern. I like to increase in the purl because I feel it shows less but into a knit stitch or between stitches is fine too. After the increase just read your rib knitting and knit the knits and purl the purls and it will look good.

Do the following rows indicate how you’ll be maintaining the rib? Are there more increases at that same spot, which will lead back to the 1x1 pattern?
