Inc in 1st st

Allo folks, anyone explain how to do this? Need help for knit and purl side! :aww:

increasing intot he first stitch is usually done using a KFB or a knit front and back.

You begin to work the stitch as usual: insert needle, wrap yarn around, pull yarn through.
You then re-insert the needle into the back loop of the stitch wrap yarn around pull through and then slide the stitch off your left needle. There is a far better explanation and video in the increases section of the videos on this site.

You could do a Kfb where you knit in the first loop like normal but leave it on the needle and then knit through the back loop…for the purl st you could purl in the first st like normal leave on needle and then purl through the back loop.
