Inappropriate Use of Knitting Needles

sigh I just binded off my armwarmers and what happens? My boyfriend decides that he’s going to take my needles (thank god they’re metal) and poke the cat with them. The cat that’s already been trained to attack anything similarly shaped. (My boyfriend poked him with his wooden practice sword when he was little.)

…and the cat just tried to chase the needles with his claws out and landed in a rather … tender area on my boyfriend. That’ll teach him.

…maybe.

EDIT: My boyfriend gave me my needles back. I tend to stick my needles into my braid in my hair when I’m not using them. So then he decides to put the cat on the back of chair. I quickly removed them before damage was done, thankfully.

hehehe I guess he asked for it!

:roflhard:

Keep a water bottle handy and if he tries to take your needles, spray him. Your BF that is, not the cat LOL.

:roflhard:

LOL :roflhard:

LOL!

I did that years ago with my cat. Except the needles were really old plastic ones my grandmother had and…they snapped in half!!!

Guess that taught me.

:aww:

Bambi

Totally agree w/ the water bottle on your bf. Poor kitty…

Teach your BF to leave the kitty alone!

Isn’t your boyfriend the one who called knitting mindless? And told you that you “could knit him a hat if you wanted” shortly after? He doesn’t seem to be improving on his respect for this craft much.

:nails: :grrr: :fingerwag: :gah: :hmm:  :wall: :tap:  :-x  :!!!: :hair:

SOunds ike a boy who could use a beating.

Nice! Oh and i’ve always wanted to tell you that I love TEA as well (in responce to your Arthur Pinero Quote)

Tea is an obsession of mine.

Oh me too! What’s your fav? Loose or bags? Herbal or “real” (black, green, white etc…) I just bought some great Pinapple black tea in Boston while visiting there. How many cups do you drink a day and have you ever heard of Doctor Tea? He has a book called the ultimate tea diet.

I like loose because it’s just neat to look at but I have a lot of bags, too, bacause they are so convenient. I drink mostly green but sometimes mix it with herbals. How about you? I have also found, and love, green Earl Grey and green Constant Comment. Gotta check out this Dr. Tea dude!

You totally should. I like loose because it is BEAUTIFUL to see all the tea leaves un-furl (sp?) and I love the taste and the feeling of brewing it and being able to customize it with herbals if you like-just like you said. I love green and white the best but I also love black. I have a favourite and it’s called earl grey cream and it just has the most unique flavour. I also have a tone of boxes because they are often on sale and like you said they are convenient. I think last count I had like 35 boxes of baged tea and i’m not sure about the loose. I do love it. The next thing I would like to buy is some clear glass tea mugs so that I can see the color. AND i love to knit and drink tea because it makes me feel so connected to a older way of life…that sounds corny and may not make sense but that’s how i feel. Is there a tea website or forum that we could join? You and I obviously need it. Not too many people i know love and appreciate tea, this is so nice.

I will find us a tea forum! And I hope you are after me on an Oddball project!

:roflhard:

Yes, that’s right.

Anyone who would delight in poking a cat… would also delight in “poking” you.

This is not a good sign. Be very careful of this person.

Keep those knitting needles handy!

Way to go Kitty!!!

I have to agree on using the spray bottle on BF!

Cyndi and Megan, can I join your tea party? I’m a tea addict too. My favorite place to shop is a little tea shop in Portland where they sell over 100 loose teas, and they have them all lined up in a big shadow box so you can smell them all. Mmmmmmm. For mother’s day, I’m hoping my DH and kids will get me the Bodum travel tea mug- have you seen it? It’s got a little basket in it for loose tea.
