In a knitting funk

I have not been knitting hardly at all this summer. I want to, but something always seems to get in the way. Plus, we have no air conditioning ( I really don’t like it), so when I try to knit at home my hands start to perspire and then the yarn won’t slide through my fingers and the yarn gets tight on the needles…you get the picture. I just hope I haven’t lost any little skill that I had when I pick it up again! I did make a washcloth a couple of weeks ago and finished a little shrug for my sister in law, but that’s about it! I just can’t seem to make myself start anything! Inspire me!!

Your desire to knit will come back. I go through the same thing occasionally especially in the summer. I have no a/c either so if it’s really hot I just don’t feel like having yarn of any type in my lap.

I can knit all day…but there is a point every night…around 8 pm…where even though the a/c is on, and the temp is winding down, I just get too hot to knit!

It is weird…sometimes there are days where I want to knit and my body is saying no…(hands tired, too hot etc…)

I recommend a little fan. (Everyone needs fans…sorry…bad pun) I have one at my computer desk for when I feel like I just need some air…

Hi

Hope this can help a bit.

Where in the world do you live and not have a/c? I can’t imagine not having it, but I do live in the South.
