I'm not a beginner! (knitting funny)

My 9 yo has been playing around with knitting off and on for a couple of years, but has yet to complete anything. My 7yo finally decided she wanted to learn…so off she goes with some sugar 'n cream multi-colored, and 10 stitches cast on. She’s now about 2 inches into her “scarf.”

So the younger one shows her project to the 9yo, who says, “That’s pretty good for a beginner!”

7yo says indignantly, “I’m NOT a beginner! This is my THIRD day of knitting!”

How funny

:roflhard:

I would have loved to see that scene

Absolutely! I am right there with your daughter. Once I had finished my first 2 projects, I decided “I am now a knitter” - Iwonderis there an offical definition? when is a knitter a ‘proper’ knitter? When you have owrn something you made?
