Due in January and I’d like to make a skull cap or small hat to put on the baby right after he/she is born. Also, we aren’t finding out the gender ahead of time, so I’m going to make one in pink and one in blue.
Does anyone have a pattern or link to a pattern for a hat that will actually fit a newborn’s head. I have the caps that my other two children wore after they were born and they are mighty tiny, albeit stretchy. I’d kind of like one done in a stockinette stitch where the brim kind of rolls up, kwim? Or really any cute, warm, snuggly, newborny kind of thing. 
Also, can anyone recommend a good yarn for this? Price is no object, even if it is really pricey, what yarn would you use for a newborn hat if money were no object??? Don’t hold back, give me the scoop!
Help me out peeps! The due date is January 8th, so I’ve got a little over 6 months to get these done. Not a big deal to most of you, but I seem to be a really slow knitter with not much extra time for knitting.
