I'm getting annoyed!

Picking up stitches for the gusset of a sock is supposed to be EASY right??? Then why on earth can’t I knit the darn things?? Grrr!! Even a crochet hook isn’t helpful! Grr!! It’s safe to say that I am getting rather annoyed right now!! :!!!: :wall:

I should just put it down and walk away, but I’ve come really far and I’m on a roll. I am determined to finish the darn thing now! :wall:

looks sheepish Umm… I got it now. LOL

Been there–done that–doesn’t your sock look cool now? Almost finished! I loved that part of it!

Okay for those of us who are sock virgins, can you please explain what happened to you in excrutiating and humiliating detail so that the rest of us won’t have to suffer such a fate? But seriously, I was wondering because I am going to start my first pair of socks soon…

Picking up the stitches for the first time or 2 can be painful to say the least…I used a crochet hook for my first 2 pair of socks. Now I can do it pretty good with just the knitting needle.

WTG picking up the gusset sts can be intimidating the 1st time around!
For those of you with a question about it, you can find a nice video here that demonstrates this.

Finished! And best of all… it fits! Ok, so I tested it on my son’s baby doll… LOL but it will fit a newborn. Hehe…

My first finished sock! (on a miniature scale) :cheering:

Congratulations on the first socklet!!! :cheering: I still find picking up the stitches for the gusset a bit fearsome. But now I’m doing shortrow heels. No picking up!!! samm who is addicted to sock yarn… :eyebrow:
