I'm confused - sock's toe shaping

I’m knitting this sock for my husband and I’m getting toward the shaping of the toe.
The pattern calls for:

FOOT AND TOE SHAPING

Knit plain until 2- 2.5 inches away from end of foot.

Shape toe using this formula:

Needle one: knit to last three stitches, k2 tog, k1
Needle two: k1, ssk, knit to last three stitches, k2, k1
Needle three: k1, ssk, knit to end of needle

In order to make a nice, rounded toe, I place these decreases between
3, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, and then 0 plain rounds until I have 8 stitches left.

What does she mean by placing decreases between 3,2,2,1,1,1,0? I tried emailing her but haven’t gotten a response.

Help!!!

Well, someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think it means that after the first decrease you do another 3 rows later, then 2 rows after that, then 2 rows after that…etc.

Jan is right, you do the decrease round, then 3 rounds without decreasing; a decrease round, then 2 rounds without decreasing; a decrease round, then 2 rounds without decreasing; etc…

thank you so much. Now I can finish the sock!
