I'm confused! reading pattern help!

My pattern reads
1st row * k1 p1 rep from* to last st k1
2nd row * p1 k1 rep from * to last st p1
3rd row as 2nd row
4th row as 1st row
Last 4 rows form Moss st pat
Cont in pat until work from beg measures 13, ending on 4th row

My confusion: is it letting me know that the 4 rows that I just stitched form the pattern called Moss stitch pattern? Ooooooor is it telling me after the 4th row I start stitching the moss stitch pattern for 4 rows then go back to 1st row?

those 4 rows combined are the moss stitch. so, just keep repeating those 4 rows… 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4 etc and you’ll keep getting moss stitch for as long as you need it. continue that way until you have 13 (i’m assuming inches?) but make sure you end on the 4th row of the pattern, so you may have to fudge it… slightly under 13 (inches?) or slightly over, but always with that pattern in the 4-row groupings. hope that helps…
