If you completely alter a pattern

… can you sell the finished product?

I’ve made 2 of the Bunny Buddy Blankets from Lion Brand yarn. The other day I was a bit bored so I decided to fool around with the pattern. Other than the process, I’ve completely altered the pattern so now I can make a Bear Buddy and a Kitty Kuddler :wink: Since they’re totally diferrent am I “allowed” to sell these finished products?

It’s always difficult to tell, but if you’ve “totally altered” the pattern, that seems like it would be a different pattern, which would be ok. There are lots of discussions about this copyright topic archived here and there is an article at knitty.com
