it’s a hat!
It’s so bulky I wasn’t sure if it was a fancy car washing mitt or a muff our something. So… to your question… I’m not sure. Possibly some sort of herringbone. Let me go take a look around and see if I can have have a better idea.
I remember an aunt who made hats that looked like this and the pattern was called something like Chevron Cables.
