So for xmas i got a pair of circular needles, which i have never used before. So the plan is to use the knitting help videos and get started. Does anyone have any easy patterns or ideas what i can knitt on them. They are a 4.5mm and 80cm. Prefferably a small project for quick results.
Secondly are these the needles i would use for socks or is that DP needles that i would use.

You could make thicker socks with these using worsted or DK weight yarn, but they would be more like slipper socks and probably too thick to wear in shoes. For the time being, just take some leftover over yarn and practice working in a tube. The patterns at thedailyknitter.com are listed by needle size, yours is the same as US size 7.
