Hi everyone!
Anyone have any ideas on a nice christening gift? A cousin of mine is having her 6 or 7 mo daughter christened in a few weeks, and I’d like to knit something, but have no idea what. My kids mostlly got money, but I’d like to do something a little different.

How much time are you wanting to put into a project? It does’t sound like you’d have time for a true Christening gown or lacey blanket. Perhaps a regular blanket? (insofar as not the kind that Franklin is attempting to finish)
Perhaps the Flower Baby Blanket? It’s the right season.
Yeah, it would probably be helpful to note that the christening is Father’s Day, whcih doesn’t give me much time. I’m also not particularily close with this cousin, so a gown is out of the question anyway (although I was thinking of doing one for my own dd who I will probably have done in August or September.) I could probably handle a throw if not done in tiny yarn …

Even a small lacy “stroller” sized blanket would be nice. Something they would hold the baby with during the christening perhaps? Or maybe a bonnet or some little white booties?
