Icord help

Hi all

Hoping someone can help. In the process of knitting an Icord but am running into this problem. The yarn keep doing this (see pics) it’s kind of fraying on one side. I’m using an Aran weight yarn but it does the same using DK. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Welcome to the forum!

It may be that you’re not pulling firmly enough between the last stitch and the first stitch of the round. You need to close up the gap since this is knit on a straight needle. Otherwise the knitting looks very pretty.

To me it looks like the working yarn is being untwisted or deplied back to separate strands.

Any chance you are turning your work, perhaps as a habit, as if knitting flat?

No need to turn for icord though.:no_mouth:
