Icelandic cardigin

this is my Icelandic cardigin that i started about two weeks ago.
It’s knitting up really really fast!!

the whole thing is made in the round, first the lower white part of the body then the sleeves, then the sleeves get joined onto the body which is then called the yoke. then finish the upper part of the cardigin where the pattern intarsia(spelt wrong) is.
hope to have it finished in a week!!

i wonder would there be any kind of market for this kind of cardigin…

the final picture is how i hope it will turn out!!!

:inlove: That’s going to be beautiful!

I love that sweater! The length is really great, Im always trying to yank my sweaters down because my lower back gets cold in class. I am so impressed with how quickly you are knitting it. I have not tried anything even close to a cardigan or sweater yet. Great job=)

Lovely n wel done …congratz

Oh this is magnificent! Very stunning!

Wow! It’s going to be gorgeous!!!

oooooh, very nice. I’m jealous.

ah crap i’ve just after running out of the white, guess i’ll have to take a break from it and do a bit of crochet.

Oh, it’s turning out beautifully! I’m looking forward to seeing the FO!

All I’m getting are the words:

Attached Thumbnails, but nothing happens or opens. Any suggestions on how to view your cardigan?

That’s all I see, also… Nothing but a square box with Attached Thumbnails, but no picture…

The forum moved to a new server and attached photos don’t seem to always work now. I’ll show this post to the forum administrator (Sheldon) and see what he says.

emm i have absolutely no idea,im going to put it up on raverly as well and il come back with a link.

Looking great! It’s a gorgeous design.

A beautiful sweater! Wouldn’t that be called stranded work rather than intarsia though? You spelled it correctly, I think, anyhow that is how I spell it too.

hmm finishd this cardigin in september but iv only had the chance to put it up now.

vey very warm!!

made with icelandic alofoss lopi great for the winter!!!

That is beautiful!!! Was it boring to knit the white part in the middle? :teehee:

That is absolutely gorgeous! Great knitting too!!

thank you very much!!!

no actually the white bit was really really quick beacuse it was just knit stitch and no colours to change to,

in all it took me two months, which i was really happy with because its only the second cardagin iv ever made, the aran one took me 5 months.

i think i might start making this cardagin to sell because its really easy and quick.

:thud: Amazing!
