I won!

Unbelievably, I bought one $20 raffle ticket from one of the officers I work with for a Sig Sauer P250 .40 Smith and Wesson gun and he called me tonight to tell me I’d won! This is an $800 gun mainly used in law enforcement. I’ve never won anything. I know, I know…there are some who don’t believe in guns, but I’m not one of them. It’s my right and in my line of work, it’s a necessity and a requirement for the officers. He’s volunteered to take me to the range to teach me how to shoot it. I’m so excited!

Umm… congratulations! I don’t like guns though. :zombie:

Yeah…either you do or you don’t. But, it’s necessary in my job for the officers. We deal with some pretty tough people on a daily basis and, even though I’m in a clerical position, I’m right there in the middle of some very sticky situations at times. We have U.S. Marshals, CSO (Court Security Officers) and our officers nearby at all times, but things can happen in the blink of an eye. I’d never have my gun at work, though. Mainly, I’d use it to shoot gators or wild hogs if they got too close while I’m fishin’ Geesh…do I sound country or what???

Sig is a very, very well made weapon. I’m jealous. Congrats!

Thanks, Mason. I’m really glad I won it. Not bad for one $20 ticket!

Congratulations  DH and I both have Concealed Weapons Permits and have a few hand guns. We are not Gun Nuts but do believe in the Second Amendment and the right to defend ourselves.

SWEET! By all means take it to the range and enjoy it, and don’t forget to pick up a trigger lock if it doesn’t come with one!

(Can you tell I used to be a handgun instructor? )

Becky, Cindy…thanks…and I’ve already made plans to go try it out as soon as I get it. Becky…trigger locks are a given. You see those two cuties to the left? Reason enough.
