It has an ugly bend in it. 
I’m still using it but it sure feels weird. Need to get a replacement for it tomorrow.
That sucks! Did it hurt? I have a lot of bent DPNs and I just use them as is…that’s a poor college student’s budget for you!
I wonder if they’d replace them for you! I know KnitPicks would!
KnitPicks replaces needles that are quality control issues, I don’t know if they’d replace one that was something you did to it like this. I guess it doesn’t hurt to ask, but I think you’ll just have to suck it up and buy a new one. I hope you weren’t hurt!
Sheesh! You scared the bejeebies out of me! I figured you were putting up a post so that someone would contact EMS to come and rescue you. I had this visual of your foot impaled upon your needle with you trying to keep your project from being damaged.
“Don’t you dare take a saw to that needle! Do you know how much they cost?!”
