and I see where to put the left needle, but I don’t understand the part about pulling. …“then slide the stitch onto the left hand needle while pulling on the yarn to release.”
What am I pulling? Do I just push the loop off of the right needle at this point in the instructions?
Thanks in advance. If I can unpurl a purl and unknit a knit, I will be cruising. This is my challenge with knitting-the errors!
See where the knitter in the picture is sticking their needle? In the hole below the stitch on the right needle? Do that and lift the stitch off the needle. You will then be able to pull the yarn and release the stitch. Do that twice to get rid of the purls. If this happens when you arent on that row, consider learning how to drop the stitch down to the mistake. Amy has a video.
Doesn’t that leave a big wide space between the needles? (Dang, crocheting is easier!)
I pulled the needles out and pulled back two rows, and reworked them.
My goal for this week:
Make a couple of swatches
Practice tinking knits and purls
Find someone to remind me to do this. I’d rather not.
Watch my “Oops: Fixing Knitting Mistakes” video that I’ve had for a week and haven’t taken the plastic off of yet. You’d think that was the first thing I did when I got it home!!!
Thanks everyone, y’all are so supportive and helpful!!!
