I need some help. I am an English knitter and I can NEVER finish a scarf. I only knit purses and socks. That only takes me MAXIMUM one week. How long does it take? People always say I just don’t like my work. How long doeit take to make it 4 feet long? Thanks bunches!
P.S. My grandpa is really sick. I need some advice on what to do. It makes me sad but I want him to suffer no more. It is way to terrible to watch. I feel guilty, but what else do I do
I’m sorry to hear about your granddad. As painful as visiting him may be, I bet he is happy to see you and just have you sit with him a while, maybe you can read to him, or just sit and knit and talk w/him.
I think if you can knit a pair of socks in a week, you are doing pretty good! It shouldn’t take much longer then that to crank out a nice scarf - just keep at it. If you get bored with the scarf after a week, maybe start something else and switch back and forth every few days.

When doing a scarf, the time it takes to knit it can differ depending on the yarn you use. I only knit scarfs that I can use a larger needle on (US 11 or 13 needle). I make scarfs with bulky yarn otherwise it could take several weeks or maybe a month. I knitted 4 feet in 1 evening. I used Bernat Soft Boucle. The other yarn i use for scarfs is Lionbrand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick.
Sorry to hear about your grandfathers health. I just lost my grandfather. He was 97 so it wasn’t to much of a shock.
