I need help with one line of this pattern

:?? I am on row 138th on this heirloom shalw pattern that I’m knitting for my sister’s wedding and this row makes no sense! Here it is:

row 138: and Alt Rnds: Knit, purling into second loop with two “y fwds” lie tog.

I contacted them at the website where it is listed and they don’t know. Can anyone please help?

Help would be greatly appreciated. I’m at a stand still!

Robin

On the previous round did make 2 YOs together? Then you’d knit one loop of the dble YO/yfwd, and purl into the other loop.

I agree with Sue. It sounds like you do this on this row (or is it round?) and every other row (or rnd) (alt=alternate) until further notice. They want you to knit and when you come to double yarn overs (y fwds= yarn forwards) knit into the first one and purl the second one (possibly through the back loop, if that looks better).

sounds right to me as well.

the problem is, you can not really knit 2 yo after one another at all. you have to help yourself a little… ktb or purl. What does the row / round before tell you? Are there double-yo?

You wouldn’t need to k tbl, you can knit 1 and purl the other and that works very well to keep them separate stitches.
