I need help with a pattern from Luxury Yarn One Skein Wonders book

I want to knit the scarf "Flirty Merino-Silk Neck Warmer that is on page 206 but the first line of the “Lacy Zigzag” pattern does not have the * telling where I am to do the repeat from. It says…
Row 1: (Sl 1, K1, psso), K2, yo, K2: repeat from* to the last stitch.
Can anyone figure out where the * should have been? Thanks so much.

How many stitches are you working on? That will help some. There may be more we need to know as well, but let’s start with that.

You’re right! I should have told you that I cast on 121 stitches.

Here are the full directions for the zigzag…
Rows 1,3, and 5 (RS): (Sl 1, k1, psso), K2, yo, K2: repeat from * to last stitch, K1.
Row 2 and all WS Rows thruough 12:Purl
Rows 5, 7, 9 and 11: K3, *yo, K2, K2tog, K2, repeat from *to last 4 stitches, yo, K2, K2tog.
repeat rows 1-12 for pattern. I do appreciate your help.

I think the first * should be at the beginning of the row. Doesn’t make sense for it to be after the dec; that way your repeat is a multiple of 4 sts (120) plus 1. But I may be wrong…

I think Sue is right. I tried it out and you get an interesting zig-zag putting the * at the beginning of rows 1, 3, and 5. But with 6 stitches involved between the asterisks on rows 1,3,5 and in rows 7, 9, 11 I think it is a multiple of 6 plus 1. With 121 stitches it works as a multiple of 4 and of 6, so it doesn’t really matter. 30X4=120+1=121 and 20X6=120+1=121. lol

Whoops I miscounted, there are 6 sts involved. I missed that on 1,3 5, though I saw it on the other rows. I’m tired and have a cold and I’m about to head off for bed to get some rest.

Take care of yourself and get well soon. I was supposed to go to work tonight but the lady I take care of went in the hospital so they didn’t need me. I need to quit dinking with this computer and go to bed too.
