the directions say, working all cap sleeve increases as set by last row,(which i did), inc. 1 st at each end of 2nd and foll 5 alternate rows, till 55 stitches.
I now have 45.
Does that mean after the 2nd, every other row 5 times? or every 2nd and 5th row?

Without looking at the pattern to see how it looks, I’d assume “foll 5 alternate rows” would mean “following 5 alternate rows” which would mean to me that you’re increasing on all the even rows (2nd and 5 alternate rows…so increase on rows 2, and the five following: 4,6,8,10 & 12).
Perhaps someone else will be of more help.
That’s correct Lisa. Since robin has 45 sts and incs 2 on every other row 5 times, that’s 10 which equals 55 sts.
