Gorgeous, Dustinac! What diameter is your piece? What size needles and type/name of yarn did you use?
Thank you, mwhite & Alyce…
Alyce, sure you can, it’s not hard and doing it on larger needles is the best way to start off with lace
mwhite~It’s almost 60" in diameter and I used Galaway Worsted (almost 5 skeins) on size 10 needles…
Thanks! I’ve decided to my Hemlock Ring into a tablecloth. I’ll be using size 6s and TLC Cotton Plus in a cream. I’ve got about 850 yds of the cream and have another 400 yds of medium blue that I may put in as well. I want to see what the blue looks like just using a couple of rows/pin striping before I decide.
That is GREAT and another cool color. Did you use the Eco Wool or something else. It came out great and thanks everyone for all the support, and I haven’t even casted on one stitch yet!
Do you have the link to the yahoo group by chance?
Thanks again!
Gino
Sorry, didn’t see the link to the yahoo group!
Cheers!
Thanks! I used Galaway worsted (almost 5 skeins)… here is the link to group:thumbsup:
mwhite, that will be pretty…I’m thinking of making some for Christmas…just not sure what yarn to use…cause I would hate for them to felt it :teehee:
That’s ok
Hey All,
If anyone is planning on doing this and you want to actually make it in the yarn specified, Cascade Eco Wool.
Go to this link:
http://yarn.com/webs/0/0/0/0-1001-1294-1323/0/0/1122/
It’s on sale from 15.00 to 10.49 per hank. YAY! I just went crazy there, they are having a huge anniversary sale and a lot of their yarns are on sale.
Take care all!
Gino
The TLC is a tad thick, but I want it to last for a long time. Mother used to crochet large doily type tablecloths out of the Knit/CroSheen and swears by it…very tiny needles needed for this.
