I just learned how to do this, so my work will have nice bind-off-crochet-looking edges! Just wanted to share the aha moment with you who understand my joy :cheering:
:cheering: :cheering: I just learned how to do the provisional cast on using a crochet hook - is that what you mean? I haven’t completed a project with it yet, but am looking forward to trying it out sometime.
I don’t know if that’s the same thing or not, but probably so. With the crochet cast-on you start with a slip knot on a crochet hook, then put the knitting needle between the yarn and hook, then use crochet hook to draw a loop through, thus creating a stitch on the knitting needle. This will make it nice if I decide to crochet edging around my knitting. :eyebrow:
:cheering: :cheering: Yay!!! Awesome!!! Congrats! I need to learn it myself some time soon!
Congrats :cheering: I love using this provisional cast on :cheering:
That’s great, good for you! :cheering: If it looks that nice, I may have to add it to my ‘to learn’ list.
