Ok I know it’s been done but I’m not sure where to look…my sister is a nurse and welll I thought I’d make a stethoscope cover…(do nursing home nurses use them?) if any one can think of any thing better (that’s an easy knit) I’m open to sugestions:zombie: :present:
Talk about obscure projects! And I actually found some! :teehee:

ya I know it’s obscure…but who else will get her one?
I just wanted to chime in and be a little bit of a devil’s advocate/spoilsport. I personally would have a bit of a concern about germs being transferred from one patient to another via the stethoscope cover. Just something to think about/ask your sister about - the types of germs that can crop up in hospital type settings can be pretty scary, since a lot of them are antibiotic resistant.
I do think it would look really cute though, and that it’s a very thoughtful idea!
hmmm I could make it just a carrying case…
If yer worried about germs n stuff you could make the cover out of bamboo yarn. It has natural antibacterial qualities. That’s why it’s soo good for sock yarn. Or make it out of cotton so that it’s washable AND dryable.
Jan…you are amazing!! Is there any pattern you can’t find??
Tara…I designed my own pattern for a “scope sock” after seeing some in a scrubs catalog. If you want the pattern, I could pm it to you. Tillie
