I knit a scarf! Now what do I do with the hanging yarn?

Hi Everyone,
I am new to these forums. I just knit my first project, a scarf, yay! :cheering:

I made it through binding off alright. Now I just have a short piece of yarn hanging at the beginning where I cast on and the ball of yarn hanging at the end where I bound off. I didn’t dare to take scissors to it without asking someone who knows. Do I just cut the ends now that I am done?

These forums look busy. I am excited to have found this community.

:cheering: Congrats on your first project you are now ready to weave in your ends… I usually leave aobut 6/10inch tail of yarn… I think under Basic tech. if you click on and more… then the Demo small project I think Amy shows you there what to do after you have BO and weaving in the ends :thumbsup:
