My new niece, Talia was born at 11:44pm, Friday, August 24th, weighing 7lbs 12oz and 20.5 inches long!!! While I was there I helped my sister get Talia latched on and she started nursing really well straight away! OMG I had forgotten what it was like to hold a baby that small… it’s been sooooo long since I’ve had a tiny one, and none of mine were ever that small outside of my uterus…lol. mine were born weighing 8lbs 13 oz; 8 lbs 12 oz; and 8lbs 14 oz…Talia is just SOOOO perfect and tiny and she has a head full of dark brown hair. I’m going to go back to the hospital tomorrow to give my sister some adorable things I’ve made for baby Talia, I’ll ask my sister then if it’s okay for me to share a pic of Talia.
Congratulations! Isn’t it funny, even if you have had your own children, you forget how small they started out. I love that new baby smell and size! Aaawwww! I hope we get to see a picture!
This is so funny because my sister just had a baby on the 5th with the same stats as your niece! He also seemed so small to me because my babies were 8lbs 6oz, 9lbs 9oz and 9lbs 12oz.

Congrats!! I just love babies… All those weights sound so huge! Mine were 7lbs 3 oz… then 6lbs 9oz next was 6lbs 6oz last was 7lbs 4 oz… All 19 inches long.
Congratulations. My little one, when he was born weighed in at a whopping 1 lb 13 oz, yes, I’m being sarcastic here, but here it is 3 years later and he’s doing verra well.
What a lovely experience. I had a 9lb 6 ouncer. I bet you will SO enjoy taking your baby clothes in.
