I hope someone here understands!

I made 2 finger-knit scarves last night in a couple of hours. Extremely simple, not anything exceptional to look at… But I had just heard of finger-knitting, so I had to try it. I used Caron’s Bliss (cotton candy) which is one of the softest yarns I have ever touched in my life.

My point, and what I’m hoping someone here will understand (because no one around me does), is – making these scarves was an amazingly sensually pleasing experience.

Am I weird or what?

lol well probably but i think most of us are weird in the same way! :rofling:

If you’re weird, I’m weird. I find that the entire experience of handling the yarn and needles is a total package. I was sitting there knitting yesterday and just reveling in the feel of the yarn travelling across my fingers. I even was wondering if there were acupressure points in the hands that caused it to make me feel so good.

You’re definitely not alone!

My husband has teased me in the LYS before, because of the way I look when I “pet” the yarn!!

That’s why we coined the term YARNGASM.

:roflhard: Sara - Never heard that before, but that is exactly it!!!

Welcome to the club! :cheering: :XX: :cheering: :XX: :cheering: :XX:

It’s what keeps us coming back for more.

you mean not everyone has a yarngasm??

heh Please, I was having one while reading Ingrids post.

Oh yeah, its all I could do not to grab some unsuspecting skien and knit up. Grrdddll.

It seems that knitters’ obsessions with yarn porn and alpaca addictions, etc. have been practiced mostly in guilty privacy in the past. But these conditions are now being discussed publicly, helping men and women come to terms with their lust for fiber arts. KH is doing its’ part in fostering global understanding.

Glad I wasn’t alone there…

Someone please explain finger knitting…I believe this is something I need to know

This is where I went to figure out how to do it. I’d suggest using some bulky yarn that really feels GOOD! :inlove:

My DS wants to knit, I think I’m going to try again with teaching him fingerknitting… he’s been using the knitting needles I made him as swords
