I have another question

This pattern I’m doing says to Cast on 62 sts. Then it says to Knit 3 rows. Then it says "Seed st row 1(rs).

Now if I knit three rows that leaves me on the beginning of a Wrong side row since the tail from my cast on is at the same end I’ll start knitting on. So shouldn’t I have to Knit 4 rows instead of the 3 and then I’d be on a Right side row?

I’ve noticed this in a few other patterns. Is it ME or are they right?? :??

thank you for your help

Well, the three rows of knit will make a garter section. I’m not sure what is after that seed stitch row but don’t worry about the side, just follow the pattern and it will turn out fine

Susan, thank you. After the garter rows the whole back of the little sweater is just seed stitch rows. I appreciate your help.

Seed stitch creates a pattern same front and back so there isn’t an issue with that

Sometimes an item is the same on both sides of the part you have done already, but in future the front and back are going to be done differently. So if you have done 10 rows of garter stitch, same on both sides, and the pattern says ‘do x (RS)’ they mean that from now on, this side is going to be the right side, kind of telling you to choose a side to be the right side, although WHICH ONE doesn’t really matter.
Does that make sense?..
