that I never know the weight of a yarn. I bought some Zitron Lifestyles when I was at the beach this summer. The lady at the yarn store said to look for a sock pattern that uses sport weight yarn. Ravelry says it’s a fingering weight yarn? Does anyone [I]really know what weight it is[/I]?
Sock and fingering weight are about the same. The website has a gauge of [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=2][COLOR=black]6 - 7 Stitches per inch on US # 2-4 needle. According to this site - http://www.yarnstandards.com/weight.html - that puts it about fingering weight or a skosh thicker.[/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]
i always go by the stitches per inch when i’m subbing yarn… then i go by what i like
