I got KnittingHelp.com listed on

the website of my most “local” LYS, although it’s over 50 miles away, and I haven’t even been there yet! LOL I e-mailed them to see if they still had their drop in sock class on Saturdays and mentioned that I learned to knit here, and the owner put it on her links page!

Now just to get up there some time on a Saturday when the hubster can keep an eye on the older 3…my baby isn’t mobile yet, so she wouldn’t be too difficult to keep a handle on.

I want to learn two socks on two ciriculars, and it looks like they carry Sockotta and Opal sock yarns…I figure I better buy the yarn from them if I’m going to take up their time, although it’s $10.00 for the class too.

That’s cool! Good work!

My sister is in Davenport. She said that a yarn shop had just opened up there, recently. But it could have been in Clinton, now that I think about it. Of course, they are the Quad Cities, so maybe I should check my info to figure out which one.

I think there is a new place in Davenport, The Yarn Shoppe. Haven’t been there yet either, that’s even farther away! :frowning:

I should e-mail her too to get KH listed!

But last time we were up there I did see the sign for it out of the corner of my eye and yelled “YARN!” to DH who was driving! LOL

Does your sister knit too Sara? She might be interest in joining

I know there is at least one person on there from the QC area.

That’s AWESOME! Thanks for doin that!!

Yay! :happydance:

So what part of Iowa are you from gardenmommy?

I live way down in SE Iowa, outside teeny little town called Danville, about halfway between Mount Pleasant and Burlington.

My grandma lives in Cedar Rapids though!

Sis knits scarves and professes no interest in making anything else. I don’t think she spends much time online, either. I like the IowaChicks site, though.
