I got a cool book yesterday!

Joann’s had 40% off coupons so I went and picked up The Big Book of Knitting Stitch Patterns. I really like it. I AM wondering if anyone can tell me exactly what a selvage is though.

I’ve got that! It’s wonderful. I think you’ll get a lot of use out of it.

Selvedge is the edge (of fabric or knitting). So when the patterns mention selvedge stitches, they’re the ones on either side of the pattern repeat that are not part of the pattern and are worked either in garter or stockinette stitch.

I love that book!

I really like that book… It has sooo many stitches that it is hard to decide which one to use…
