I was taking KP’s Chullo hat and making it into mittens, I got in a rush messed up the afterthought thumb (just did it from my head didn’t stop to actually read what EZ says) I put the scrap yarn in wrong. So when I finished the mitten and removed my scrap yarn I had no place for a thumb…no live sts…no hole for thumb…:teehee:
Can I cut in the thumb? Where would I cut it at? How do I know what strands of yarn to cut…or since I’m not really liking all the different colors just frog it and make it in two colors…and remember to add the thumb 
The only thing I have found by using google is the afterthought thumb EZ talks about with scrap yarn, but it’s too late for that option I will have to cut something :oo:
The pictures show the top (big alpaca) the palm (little alpacas) and then finally picture with no thumb
ETA: after more looking around seems that the afterthought may be cutting in and the scrap yarn would be the thumb trick, but still I can only find sites that show using scrap yarn none showing how to cut the sts.
