I Don't Know How To Do That

I’m spending the weekend in Manning, SC, not because I want to but because they couldn’t find me a load out of here. I got a room for tonight and visited the Mexican joint close to the motel.

The bartender is a very nice Mexican lady and she seemed really interested in my knitting. She told me she doesn’t know how to knit so I told her she could learn on KH, just like I did.

I think she really wants to learn. Her English is far better than my Spanish, but not perfect. We managed to chat despite the language issues. A very nice lady. I did the best I could to explain some of the basics to her and gave her the addy for KH, which she wrote down, and think she’ll probably be watching some videos here tonight.

May be another knitter in the world before long. If we try hard enough we could take over the world.

Have you earned your free toaster for converting new knitters yet?

:teehee:

It’s cool when you can get around language barriers, etc. It’s good to have a place to send her- since there isn’t a whole lot you can show someone in such a short time.

Yeah, knitting lessons can take a bit longer than a bar visit.

I drink and knit too!!:clink: Is that legal:inlove:

If it isn’t I’m in big trouble

:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:

I often have a glass of wine (with chocolate) while I knit and watch TV. Works for me…

I don’t drink, but my knitting sometimes looks like I have. :teehee:

Welcome to SC, Mason…
