I did it! I knit a sweater!

My adaptation of the very easy baby sweater, done in Lion Brand Cotton (a blue ombre) and my son can wear it!! :woot:

Here it is, fresh off the needles, before I stitched under the arms shut:

And, with a messy-face baby wearing it:

Wow! Great job! It looks perfect.

And now people know why you should knit kid’s sweater’s out of washable yarn!

Looks really good Melinda!

:muah: THank you, thank you!

Yes, my knitting for the kids MUST all be washable. This cotton is good, but I think I’m going to invest in some mercerized (that shiny stuff) because it wears a bit better (I’m afraid if the dishcloth/swatch I did in this is any indication, it will fade fast).

I’m a knitter now! :cheering::happydance:

Yea for you !!! Fantastic !!!

Awesome job:thumbsup: And isn’t he a sweetie!!

Way to go!! :yay: It’s adorable and so is the boy! :mmm:

Nice work!!! I love the blue and the model is adorable! I still haven’t mustered up the strength to knit a sweater (hence, my name…lol).

Too cute! Love the colors, and what a great pattern! Your little boy is precious.

That looks like a great pattern, not too much seaming! What a handsome little model wearing it too!

Great job mummy!! Isn’t it a great feeling? I love knitting for my little bloke (14 months)
