I Did it! I Did Long Tail Cast On!

I’ve been struggling and struggling and struggling to figure out how to do this. I finally got it today. OMG casting on is so fast now!!! :woot:

I know its something so small but this month I’ve been accomplishing so much with knitting, from dpn’s to circler needles to now this. I am so freaking doing the happy dance right now.

Yippeee!!!

Good for you…It took me a while to learn it but I really like the way it looks.

Happy knitting :knitting:

WOOHOO So happy for you

I know this cast on since I am about 10 years old. And I hva hence tried to teach it to A LOT of knitters. But a lot of them have not learned, not mastered or instantly forgotten again.

So: YEAH! Great! I am happy for you! :cheering: :happydance:

I taught a coworker to knit and showed her the long-tail cast on method. She loved it! She would cast on a billion stitches just for the hell of it. “Why can’t I just do this all day?” she asked me. (She was quick to rip back the work she’d done if she found a mistake… pretty much just to cast on again. Hehe.)

It’s fun to hear the excitement of a new knitter. ENJOY! Knitting is such a happy addiction.

 Good for you!

Yay! Congrats! I’m always happy to hear about how happy other people are when they learn or accomplish something. Don’t worry if it seems like something ‘small’ it’s not small if you’re happy about it =D So keep up the good work and feel free to share again.

Yay!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: It is so nice to have options when you cast on!! Good for you!

Long tail cast on is the first one I learned. Back in 3rd grade. It is still my favorite. Although I know others, I like the stretch it gives me at the edge. I think it is the most versitile.

Way to go. :aww:
