I had a look at both Spikey’s links and they’re brilliant ideas - if the clamp holds objects vertically and horizontally, then probably you could get the best angle to suit you for the left needle, as in the photo.
I’ve bookmarked the clamp link because it might come in handy for when my arthritis plays up in my left wrist.
Anyway, good luck with the arm and I hope it will be better before too long - let us know how you get on, would you?
Thanks very much indeed, Spikey, for those two great links :)
I was interested to read about the “Lever Arm” method. That is exactly how I knit, but I thought that’s the way the English method is usually done. Is it unusual? It IS quite fast.
I hope you will still join in with all the chit chat here on the forum. I wonder if you can still hold things in your hand. Maybe you could try your hand at crochet. I thing you can do that, doing most of the movement with your right hand (if you are right handed). Let us know how you get on, Hope your arm fells better soon.
Keep posting! Maybe take this time to learn/focus on a new needle art. Maybe cross stitch or embroidery? A friend of mine hard carpal tunnel surgery on her one wrist and took up painting with the good hand until she healed. Now she loves painting too!
