I have a small 3.25 circular needle with a small lengh wire approx (25cm wire). I want to knit a prem hat without seam but i keep grtting it wrong and its getting me frustrated . Can someone please help me.
It seams as though im not putting enough stitches on . The pattern says cast on 51 sts
It’s not you, it’s the needles.
That needle is too long for the number of stitches in DK weight that the pattern requires. There are shorter circular needles (~22.5cm measured tip to tip) which you could try. Not everyone likes working with these short needles but they are worth a try.
There are also several techniques that will work. One is magic loop which is worked on a much longer circular needle.
Another is to use 2 circular needles.
And there is also the use of double pointed needles.
There are also flexi-flips which work nicely.
We each have our favorite method. One or more of them will work for you.
Very sweet pattern for a preemie hat!
Thank you so so much for your help . I dont know what it would do without this site .I have spent hrs today thinking I was the problem x
