I like savory snacking more so than sweet. And I like bread. So last night I took these ingredients: refrigerated french bread dough, hummus, a little feta cheese (hummus can be salty itself) and olive oil and made these:

I just unrolled the dough, smeared on the hummus and sprinkled with feta and lightly drizzled with olive oil. Re-rolled the dough, cut into 8 pieces and baked about 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees.
I wanted to let them to cool entirely before trying them so I could give a honest opinion. Really good! And even better reheated a few seconds in the microwave. These would go great with a salad. And there are so many flavored hummus out there: roasted red pepper, olive, garlic, pine nuts, chili, jalapeno and of course plain. I actually used a “forty spice” flavor.
Mmm, those look and sound delicious!
YUM, I love hummus, feta cheese, and bread! Sounds like a winning combination.
I brought a couple into work and they went over really well; they didn’t make it to lunch time.
mmmmmmmm I’m feeling hungry now!
They look wonderful! Great idea.
