How would I go about making a seed stitch button hole?

I’ve made button holes before where you knit to the place you want it, bind off 3 stitches and cast on with a cable cast on(on here, actually XD); but how would I go about doing this on seed stitch?Should I do it exactly the same and then continue the seed stitch on the next row?or is there a way to work in pattern?

Yes, you can bind off in seed st, then just do the regular cable cast on the next row. The following row is where you pick up the seed stitch pattern again over the new sts.
