How to switch WS to be RS

Hello all,

I hope all of you are doing well!

I am knitting a k1,p1 rib stitch for a sweater, and noticed my WS looks better than RS. After the ribbing, I just have to knit in circle to have get stockinette stitch. I was wondering if there is a way to switch my WS to be RS. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! THANK YOU!

Welcome to KH!
You could try flipping your knitting to reverse the sides and see if you get a small hole. It may be hidden in the last row of ribbing.
The safest way to do this without a hole is to work a short row turn. That way, you’ll be sure not to get a small hole where you turned. There are several methods for this but one of the simplest is German short rows. You could work the short row at the end of the last row of ribbing. You only need turn once and then continue with the knit stitch for stockinette in the round. At the end of the first knit round, you’ll pick up the double stitch left from the short row and continue to knit.
