How to purl 6 rows below

Hi -

I’m just reading over a pattern for a Hat in the round, and I’ve never done this before:

Row 31: Make fold: *Insert LH needle into back of purl st 6 rows below, knit lp tog with next st; rep from * around.

I have no clue on how to do this. Row 30 is a Purl row. Is there a video for this anywhere?

Thanks for any advice you can provide

Each st has a loop or purl bump in every row below it so you’re going to be purling the st on the needle together with the st that’s 6 rows below it. You’ll have to sort of fold up your knitting so the st that’s 6 rows below can be brought up next to the st on the needle.

I get the idea of what you’re saying (and can see the fold in
the picture) - now to see if I can do it

Thank you for your help!
