I am knitting a baby blanket … and it wants me to NOTE.
(OUT OF 1ST MAKE 5 I.E INTO 1ST (K1, WOOL ON NEEDLE, K1, 1YO, K1), TURN, K5, TURN, P5, TURN K5 THEN SL4, K1, PSSO)
I’M HAVING TROUBLE WITH THIS … CAN SOMEONE TRY AND EXPLAIN IT … ALSO WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO WOOL ON NEEDLE?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP
You’re making bobbles it looks like. I think that’s supposed to be 'wool over needle which is another way of saying YO. So into one st you’re going to k yo k yo k to make 5 stitches. Knit into the next st, but leave it on the L needle, wrap the yarn around the needle and knit again, wrap the yarn and knit the last st. Then turn and over those 5 sts k5, turn again, p5, turn k5, then turn and sl4 sts to the R needle, knit 1, and pass the 4 sts over that single st, one at a time and you have 1 st again. Turn is just turn your work like you do at the end of a row so you can work the sts on the other side.
Note just means ‘pay attention to how to do this’ it’s not a stitch.
