Please first edit the pattern to remove the instructions for knitting. leaving only the link and the initial instructions for gauge and sizes. We have problems with copyright otherwise, even for free patterns.
One of the easiest ways to increase the size is to use a heavier weight yarn for the poncho. That way you can follow all the directions for cast on and inc/dec and the poncho will be larger. You can figure out how much larger by doing a gauge swatch.
The other way is to use the yarn weight recommended and cast on more sts. Again, a gauge swatch with your yarn will give you an idea of how stitch number and inches relate and you can figure out hom many sts to cast on from there. Of course, you need to know the approximate measurements of the child you’re making this for.
Very sweet pattern!

The translation on that pattern is, um, interesting.:??
